Today, I have another testimonial from one of our happy clients.
My name is Patrik Hutzel from intensivecarehotline.com, and this is another quick tip for families in intensive care.
So, today I have another testimonial from one of our clients that we have been working with in the last few months.
“Patrik Hutzel is assisting my family and myself with our dad in Oregon. Thank you all so much for sharing your time and knowledge with us! I know my dad would not be with us and alive now if not for the expertise of Patrik Hutzel and the Intensive Care Hotline.
Again, we are also very grateful to have been fortunate enough to have him take a look at his case and advocating for us.”
Keep up the fight!
– Katey Collins”
So, thank you, Katie, for giving us a feedback. Yes, we have been looking at your case. Of course, it’s me with one-on-one consulting, but I also have a team working in the background that’s looking at medical records and makes recommendations, helps advocate and consult.
Like I have been saying many times on this blog here, we have saved many lives with our consulting and advocacy. This is another testimonial where we have saved another life and get a patient out of ICU. It’s a real testimonial again that our strategies actually work.
This was a man who is in his early 80s, and he had a cardiac arrest. He ended up in ICU with supposedly a hypoxic brain injury. The ICU team was adamant that he should just pass away, and should just have life support withdrawn because he won’t have any “quality of life,” and that he wouldn’t survive anyway and even if he was to survive, it wouldn’t be worth his time, which is terrible to even think that way. The family was adamant, “No, we want to give our dad a go.” The ICU initially didn’t even want to do a tracheostomy after it was clear that he can’t come off the ventilator quickly.
So eventually, they agreed to do a tracheostomy. We obviously advocated not to have a PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) tube for now, he still has a nasogastric tube for now. Their dad is still alive and slowly waking up. There’s no guarantee he will fully recover, but who is the ICU team to say who should live, who should die, and when they should live, and when they should die? It’s terrible for anyone to try and play God. Our job is to preserve life and withhold judgment about quality of life for people because that is not up to you or to me to make a judgment about quality of life, that is up to the individual, it’s up to the families. So, I’m very grateful and privileged that we were able to help this family like we have done for so many others.
Like I said, you can look that up on our testimonial section at intensivecarehotline.com, and you can look it up on our podcast section at intensivecarehotline.com, where we have done many client interviews for our clients in intensive care, and they will verify on the podcast how we have helped them.
I have worked in critical care nursing for 25 years in three different countries where I worked as a nurse manager for over 5 years in intensive care. I’ve been consulting and advocating for families in intensive care since 2013 here at intensivecarehotline.com. We have helped clients all over the world. Like I said, it is no exaggeration at all when I say we have saved many lives for our clients in intensive care. Once again, you can verify that on our testimonial section at intensivecarehotline.com and on our intensivecarehotline.com podcast section where we’ve done client interviews.
That’s why I do one-on-one consulting and advocacy over the phone, Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp, whichever meeting works best for you. My and our advice as a team is life-changing for our clients. Once again, it’s all documented that it is life-changing. You can join a growing number of members and clients that we helped over the years to improve their lives instantly, to make informed decisions, to have peace of mind, control, power, influence, making sure the loved ones get best care and treatment in ICU always.
As so I said, that’s why I do the one-on-one consulting to help you directly and to handhold you through this once in a lifetime situation that you simply cannot afford to get wrong. When I talk to you and your families directly, I also talk to doctors and nurses directly and I ask all the questions that you haven’t even considered asking but must be asked when you have a loved one critically ill in intensive care.
Because the biggest challenge for families in intensive care is simply that they don’t know what they don’t know. They don’t know what to look for. They don’t know what questions to ask. They don’t know their rights, and they don’t know how to manage doctors and nurses in intensive care. That is exactly what you are dealing with.
I also represent you in family meetings with intensive care teams.
We also do medical record reviews in real time so that you can get a second opinion in real time. We also do medical record reviews after intensive care, if you have unanswered questions, if you need closure, or if you are suspecting medical negligence.
All of that you get at intensivecarehotline.com where we also have a membership for families of critically ill patients in intensive care. You can become a member if you go to intensivecarehotline.com, if you click on the membership link or if you go to intensivecaresupport.org directly. In the membership, you have access to me and my team, 24 hours a day, in the membership area and via email, and we answer all questions intensive care related. You also have exclusive access to 21 eBooks and 21 videos that only our members have access to. All of that will help you to make informed decisions, have peace of mind, control, power, and influence, making sure your loved one gets best care and treatment always.
All of that you get at intensivecarehotline.com. Call us on one of the numbers on the top of our website or simply send us an email to [email protected] with your questions.
