Hi, it’s Patrik Hutzel from Intensivecarehotline.com with another quick tip for families in Intensive Care.
Many families in Intensive Care come to us and they say, “ Look my dad or my mom is in ICU and they’ve had a cardiac arrest, or they had a stroke” and they say things like, “Tomorrow at one o’clock or at five o’clock, the Intensive Care team has told us that you know, they want to withdraw treatment on my mom or on my dad” and that literally means that they’re going to die. So, and they also tell me, “Oh, they want to meet again” that the Intensive Care team wants to meet again at three o’clock today and whatever the case may be.
So, my tip for today is very simple. Don’t go to the meeting and don’t agree with anything you’ve been told because you actually have rights if you have a family member in Intensive Care. You have rights, you just don’t know about them. There are patients, and family’s rights and we have helped hundreds of families in those situations to save their loved-one’s life at least to buy time, so you can have an end-of-life decision on your terms.
So, if you’re in a situation like that, either check out our case studies or contact us on one of the phone numbers on the top of the website at Intensivecarehotline.com. Take care for now and I’ll talk to you in a few days.
