Hi, it’s Patrik Hutzel from Intensivecarehotline.com with another quick tip for families in Intensive Care.
Yesterday, I had Robin email me and she says that her dad has been in ICU for about three months and he’s there with a tracheostomy and with long-term ventilation. He can’t be weaned off the ventilator. But she said that now, that her dad has been discharged prematurely to a nursing home where they don’t have expertise in ventilation, weaning and she’s worried that her dad will simply die there and she’s probably right.
So if that’s your situation, you need to look at solutions like Intensive Care At Home because Intensive Care at home can do for long-term ventilated patients what Intensive Care units can do. So, go and check out intensivecareathome.com.
That’s my tip for today. Look for alternatives at Intensivecareathome.com if your loved one is in ICU long-term ventilated. Take care, and I’ll talk to you in a few days.
