Hi, it’s Patrik Hutzel from intensivecarehotline.com with another quick tip for families in intensive care.
Now many families come to us and they say they don’t want their loved ones to suffer while they’re in intensive care.
Now the reality is that most patients in intensive care have a complete memory loss while they’re in ICU.
So therefore your concern for suffering as long as your loved one is in an induced coma or is unconscious is actually not really valid because most patients simply don’t remember a single thing.
Now you also need to understand that most patients survive intensive care.
No matter how negative the Intensive Care team is because they haven’t simply shared the statistics with you that most patients in intensive care do survive and you know, the suffering is often worth it and remember your loved one probably won’t remember a single thing while they are in ICU.
Okay. That’s my tip for today. Take care and I’ll talk to you in a few days.
