Quick Tip for Families in ICU. How Long to Regain Consciousness After a Hemorrhagic Stroke?
Hi, it’s Patrik Hutzel from intensivecarehotline.com with another quick tip for families in intensive care. Yesterday, I had an email from a reader who basically asks that his little brother is in intensive care for 15 days now with a hemorrhagic stroke. Now, after about seven days of being off sedation, he says that his brother is slowly opening eyes and he’s asking how long does it take for his brother to regain consciousness.
Now the answer to that question is really that it depends. It depends on a number of issues really. It depends on what does the result of the CT brain show or of the MRI of the brain? What sedation has your brother been on? What were his ICP’s, intracranial pressure monitoring readings as well?
So, it depends on a number of issues, it never comes down to a single issue. So, therefore keep educating yourself, keep reading our case studies at intensivecarehotline.com and I’ll talk to you in a few days. Take care.
