Hi, it’s Patrik Hutzel from Intensivecarehotline.com with another quick tip for families in Intensive Care.

Today’s tip is about mortality rates in Intensive Care. Did you know that more than 90% of Intensive Care patients actually survive? So that means the odds are in your loved one’s favor.

However, I would also argue that the Intensive Care team tells 90% of patients and families in ICU. That there is a 90% chance of patients dying, which is not accurate because the research is there and the evidence is there, that more than 90% of patients in Intensive Care survive.
